GX Works3

Perform “Rebuild All” and initialize the memory before writing to the PLC.
“Rebuild All” converts the entire project and “Convert” only converts the modified part of the program.

6.9 Converting Programs

GX Works2 and GX Developer are supplied with GX Works3.
When installing GX Works3, you can select whether to install GX Works2 and GX Developer together.

As the parameter settings of the FX3 intelligent function modules are not supported by GX Works3,
they cannot be selected from the element selection window.
Please use the configure using the program.
Also, regarding the setting and programming, please refer to the corresponding manual of each FX3 intelligent function module.

For GX Works3 Ver.1.025B or later, the simulation function is supported.
Multiple connections can be established by using an Ethernet switching hub.
In the multiple comments display setting, you can set a comment title of the device comments to be set.

[View] -> [Mulitple Commnets Dispaly Setting]


(1) Put a checkmark in “Enable Multiple Comments Display”.
(2) Put a checkmark in “Available” and enter a comment tile.
(3) Select comments to be displayed in the program editor or various monitor screens in “Target”.
(4) Enter a comment in each row in the device comment editor.

Set device comments for each language in the device comment editor.

[Navigation Window] -> [Device] -> [Device Comment]

You can change the destination in [Online] -> [Specify Connection Destination].
Change the destination depending on the communication path to be used.
You can check the set connection path in an illustration by clicking [System Image].

You can check the processing time and scan time of the program currently being executed in “Program List Monitor”.

You can configure the setting in “Interrupt Setting from Internal Timer” of the CPU parameter.

You may have already placed a main base unit in the module configuration diagram.
Scroll up or down in the module configuration diagram and check if a main base unit has been placed in it.
When it has already been placed, you can place a new main base unit after deleting the existing main base unit.

For a label where digits are to be specified, set a bit type array as its data type. The following shows an example of when
a global label is used.
– Global label
– Label name: Lamp
– Data type: Bit array of 16 elements
– Device: Y100
– Program: Describe the digit specification of the bit device for a destination of the MOV instruction.
MOV (True, D0, K4Lamp);
M0:=Lamp[0];
M1:=Lamp[1];

While the module configuration window is being displayed,
the I/O assignment can be checked by selecting the following options from the menu bar:
[Edit]→[XY Assignment Display]

GX Works3 provides various intuitive features such as graphics-based system configuration and an extensive
module library (module label/FB) as standard.

You can reduce the time to be taken for programming with GX Works3 by 40% as compared with GX Works2.
(Based on new project test benchmarks between GX Works2 and GX Works3)

There are three types of parameters in GX Works3; “System parameter”, “CPU parameter”, and “Module parameter”.
You can set the following items with each parameter.

(1) System parameter
This type of parameter is used for setting the items required to configure a system, such as the number of slots of a base unit,
the number of occupied stations, multiple CPU setting, and synchronization setting.

(2) CPU parameter
This type of parameter is used for setting operation details of CPU module functions.

(3) Module parameter
This type of parameter is used for setting an initial setting value or refresh setting of each module.
For specific intelligent modules, setting of “Module extended parameter” is required.

The execution time of the basic operation instruction(LD) is 0.034[μs]. *For firmware Ver.1.100 or above, this specification applies to 64K step mode.

When a SET instruction and RST instruction use a single device, no duplicated coil error is detected.

You do not have to uninstall GX Works2 before installing GX Works3.
You can install GX Works3 into your computer where GX Works2 has already been installed.

By selecting the appropriate module number from the option “Mount Position Number No.” accessed from [View]→[Docking Window]→[Device Assignment Confirmation] of GX Works3 menu, the allocated number can be checked.
However, the link refresh settings from the parameter settings of CC-Link must be set in advance.

FR Configurator2

FREQROL VFD inverter drives use FR-Configurator engineering software for parameterization.

Drives that use FR-Configurator2: FR-F800, FR-A800, FR-E800, FR-E700, FR-D700, FR-CS80.

All legacy inverters (e,g. 500 series) use FR Configurator.

Check the setting value of Pr.414 (PLC function operation selection) and if the initial value: 0 (PLC function disabled) is set, set “1” or “2” and enable the PLC function.

FR Configurator

FREQROL VFD inverter drives use FR-Configurator engineering software for parameterization.

Drives that use FR-Configurator2: FR-F800, FR-A800, FR-E800, FR-E700, FR-D700, FR-CS80.

All legacy inverters (e,g. 500 series) use FR Configurator.

GT Works3

Sample projects (sample design data) for the GOT2000 series are supplied with GT Works3 (GOT2000) Version 1.100E or later.

The sample projects are stored in the following folder on the personal computer when GT Designer3 (GOT2000) is installed.

1. 32-bit Windows
C:\Program Files\MELSOFT\GTD3_2000\App_x000D_\SampleProject

2. 64-bit Windows
C:\Program Files(x86)\MELSOFT\GTD3_2000\App_x000D_\SampleProject

You can download new sample projects from the download section for the human-machine interfaces (HMIs) GOT on the Mitsubishi Electric FA Global Website.
GT27**-V and GT2104-R are assumed as the GOT types for the sample projects.
To use the sample projects for other models, change the GOT type as necessary.

A password can be set to the rugged model.
A password can be set to the GOT individually for each case when security is required.

・ Setting a password to change the contents of the screen display for each user
→ Level authentication or operator authentication
・ Setting a password to restrict invalid data reading and writing
→ Data transfer security
・ Setting a password to restrict the utility startup and password setting screen display
→ Functional operation security

The screen data of the GOT2000 series created in GT Designer3 (GOT2000) cannot be converted to screen data of the GOT1000 series editable in GT Designer3 (GOT1000).

◆ GT Converter2 Version 3.12N or earlier
It does not support the GOT2000 series. To use the project data for GOT800 or other series with the GOT2000 series, perform the following operations.
1. Convert the project data into GOT1000 series project data using GT Converter2.
2. Open the converted project data using the screen design software for GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1.100E or later.

◆ GT Converter2 Version 3.14Q or later
It supports the GOT2000 series.

1. Convert the project data into GOT2000 series project data using GT Converter2.
2. Open the converted project data using the screen design software for GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1.108N or later.
The GOT type of the project data is converted into GT27.
To use the project data with other models, convert the GOT type using the screen design software.

The only GOT HMIs that are currently running is the GOT1000, GOT2000, and GOT Simple.
GOT1000 uses GT Designer2. GOT2000 and GOT Simple uses GT Designer3.

GT Designer comes with GT Works.
GT Works2 is contained in GT Works3

So, to program any GOT HMI, GT Works3 will suffice.

GT Designer3

You cannot create project data for the GOT2000 series using GT Designer2.
Use GT Designer3 (GOT2000) instead.

You can create a project data for the GOT2000 series using GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1.100E or later.

If you use Version 1.100E or earlier of GT Designer3, download the latest version of GT Designer3 (GOT2000) from the download section for the GOT on the Mitsubishi Electric FA Global Website.

Perform the following procedure to use the screen gesture function.

◆ GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1.100E or later
1. Select [Common] – [GOT Type Setting]. Select [Use the gesture function], and click [OK].
2. Place a key code switch (screen gesture mode switching) to switch between the screen gesture mode and normal operation mode in the screen gesture inactive area (a 32-dot area from the top edge of the screen).
3. Touch the key code switch (screen gesture mode switching) placed on the base screen of the GOT.

To display the screen gesture inactive area on the drawing screen, select [Screen] – [Screen Property]. Then, select [Display the screen gesture inactive area], and click [OK].

In addition, to make the drawing process smoother, select [Common] – [GOT Type Setting], and then select [Enable the graphics accelerator].
This setting is available for the following conditions.
GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1.185T or later and GOT Graphic Ver.1, or GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1.112S or later and 1.181P or earlier

Note that the following restrictions are applied.
・ GOT startup may become slower.
・ In the screen gesture mode, the object display is not refreshed.

* GT Designer3 consists of the following two screen design software from Version 1.100E.

The screen size cannot be enlarged or reduced because the video/RGB input screen (including multimedia) is hidden during the screen gesture mode.

Hardware

Automation hardware intercommunicates via the process of data exchange via a communication medium. The communication medium consists out of different OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model layers. For the purpose of this answer, the communication layer, related to the communication protocol is applicable. There are various industrial communication protocols, being split into Ethernet and Serial communication standard categories. Automation hardware (and software), make use of communication drivers, based on the communication protocols, to accommodate data exchange handling between the various automation system components.
The process of interconnecting these automation system components, and setting up the data exchange parameters, is called integration.

3.4 Auxiliary Functions
“Command speed change during positioning operation”

It can be changed.
For example, with the positioning instruction, a word device can be assigned to the operand which specifies the positioning address and the address can be changed by rewriting the value.

Device backup is available without using a battery.
However, to back up link register (W) and file register (R) devices, a battery is required.

A PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is a piece of hardware, which contains a CPU (Central Processing Unit). The CPU contains a Logic Program, stored on its RAM (Random Access Memory), written in an IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) PLC Programming Language. This program runs continuously and performs tasks, based on the information the PLC receives, either from I/O inputs or communication protocol-based network commands. A PLC is essentially the brain of a control system \ process, as it contains the ability to take the information received and makes decisions on what to do next. Its actions will again affect the inputs received, and new decisions will be made again, in a continuous cycle.

“Rebuild All” converts the entire project and “Convert” only converts the modified part of the program.

GOT2000 Series Connection Manual (Mitsubishi Product) For GT Works3 Version1

SM400 and SM8000.
※FX compatible area(SM8000~, SD8000~) is available for the special relay and special device.

Although the connection with FX2N series I/O modules, FX2 series intelligent function modules, and FX3 series special adapter is not possible,
FX3 series intelligent function modules can be connected.

However, a bus conversion module is required. (FX5-CNV-BUS/FX5-CNV-BUSC).

VFD

If using an inverter with a capacity of 75K or higher, or a motor with a capacity of 75 kW or higher, always select and install the inverter based on the capacity of the motor with a DC reactor.

It cannot be connected. When using FR-DU08, connect it to the PU connector.

In one word, no. A VFD cannot be used as a replacement for a voltage transformer. If a motor requires 400Vac, then a 400Vac source is required as an input to the 400Vac VFD. The same goes for other voltage classes,

The only exception to this rule is with phase number. If the motor requires a 3ph voltage source, then a VFD can use a 1ph voltage source (of the same voltage), and convert it to 3ph for the motor, but in this case, the VFD is to be downgraded. (for 3ph inverters, not 1ph inverters)

Note: this phase conversion is exclusively the case for 200Vac 1ph \ 3ph systems. (i.e. not all of the inverter series’ have the 200Vac 1ph version available.

Note: Some inverter series’ come with a 200Vac 1ph inverter model – and in such cases – downgrading of the VFD will not be required.

There are 4 classes for duty classification purposes. They are:

  • SLD – Super light duty. (startup current: 110% for 60sec and 120% for 3sec – of the FLA value)
  • LD – Light Duty (startup current: 120% for 60sec and 150% for 3sec – of the FLA value)
  • ND – Normal Duty (startup current: 150% for 60sec and 200% for 3sec – of the FLA value)
  • HD – Heavy Duty (startup current: 200% for 60sec and 250% for 3sec – of the FLA value)

These are being determined by the application details to which the VFD inverter drive must be applied to.

Approximately 2 years when the FR-LU08 is not energized and the real-time clock function is enabled.

THIS  guide contains a short summary of the FREQROL series VFD drive inverters available.

The mini B connector is used for connecting with FR Configurator2.

A USB memory device can be connected to the A connector (host) to save parameters or trace data or to copy parameters from one A800/F800 to another A800/F800.

Parameters can be copied from one to another through a USB cable connected to the A connectors.

kW (power) alone is not sufficient. One requires the motor nameplate details and the application details. From the motor nameplate, we can find the FLA current, voltage, phase number. From the application details we can determine the duty requirements of the inverter (For startup current requirements).

Generally, the 60, N6, and EC post-fix are of minimal effect, and interchangeability is possible if need be.

It has to do with compliance certification, CB coating, and conductor plating – but not with functionality and capacity)

For instance: (i.e.)

  • Blank is standard (plain)
  • EC is a European manufactured
  • CH is a Chinese manufactured
  • IN is an Indian manufactured
  • 60 is circuit board coated
  • 06 is circuit board coated and plated conductors
  • N6 is circuit board coated and plated UL certification
  • U6 is circuit board coated  and plated and has an additional CN8 connector
  • SC has an optional safety circuit

But functionality and capacity, for the most part, remain as is. (Most functionality can be adjusted per jumper, switch, or parameter.

A VFD (Variable Frequency Drive), also referred to as a VSD (Variable Speed Drive), inverter or drive, is a piece of hardware that is used to control the speed of an AC Induction motor. This is achieved by the VFD controlling the Frequency output (Hz) (in conjunction with the Voltage (V), being fed into the motor. Since the Frequency (Hz) output is directly proportional to the motor shaft rotational speed (RPM (Revolutions per minute)), the VFD is used to control the motor speed.

Nothing. Both terms are used for describing drive inverters. They are prominently being used interchangeably, depending on the manufacturer of the country. (For Mitsubishi FA, the term VFD is mostly used.).
VSD (Variable Speed Drive) refers to the motor shaft rotational speed (RPM). VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) refers to the inverter drive frequency (Hz) output. However, since the motor rotational speed is directly proportional to the inverter frequency output. these names (acronyms) are used interchangeably. (VFDs also control motor rotational speed, and VSDs also have a range of drive frequency output).

The Undervoltage warning of the inverter is judged based on the voltage of the main circuit as follows.
Power failure only at the main circuit:

Output an Undervoltage warning power failure only at the control circuit.

Not output an Undervoltage warning when the control circuit is turned ON while the main circuit is OFF, an Undervoltage warning is not output.

Both a SCADA and a GOT are HMIs.

SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is a piece of automation software being installed on an existing PC with an OS (Operating System). This software, in most cases, is commercial (licensed).
GOT (Graphic Operation Terminal) (aka Terminal) is a piece of automation hardware, containing a predetermined OS. This HMI is being configured via engineering software installed on an external PC (Personal Computer).

Attaching the protective cover for oil to the rugged model improves oil resistance.
Because oil such as cutting oil contains a small number of additives, the oil resistance of the protective cover cannot be specified. Before using the protective cover for oil, test it in the operating environment to determine its usability.

The surface treatment of the front face of the rugged model is the AG (antiglare) treatment for both the environmental protection sheet and optional UV protective sheet.
The environmental protection sheet and optional UV protective sheet are made from UV cutoff materials. (95% UV cutoff with a sheet of 370nm)

The UV protective sheet for the rugged model is used to protect the GOT from UV or damage.
Since the UV protective sheet is replaceable, replacing the UV protective sheet can protect the GOT from degradation due to UV or damage.

When multiple GT27, GT25, or GT21 models (Ethernet connection models) are connected to one PLC by Ethernet, the GOT communication port number is not required to be changed.

While an overlap window is displayed, if the mode is switched to the screen gesture mode, the overlap window is hidden.
The overlap window is redisplayed when the screen gesture mode is disabled.

1. Master station can communicate with the slave stations using the predefined protocol support function.

6 FX5U CPU MODULE BUILT-IN ANALOG
6.1 Specifications
Because the FX5UC CPU modules do not have a built-in analog function, please use an analog adapter or intelligent function module.

Parameters can be set when connecting the MELSEC iQ-F series with FX5-CCL-MS (CC-Link system master/intelligent device). However, when connecting with FX3U-16CCL-M(CC-Link master), the settings must be configured using a program.

12.1.3 Setting of parameters
1. Program for parameters

From the following menu of GX Works3: [Diagnostics]→[Module Diagnostics(CPU Diagsnostic)] the event history function can be found.

The event history can display the error information of the CPU module, expansion board, expansion adapter, and network.
Also, the displayed information can be saved as CSV file format.


– Supported for CPU module’s firmware version Ver. 1.040 or above and GX Works3 version Ver.1.030G or above.
– The function to save the event history file to the SD card is supported for the CPU module with the manufacturer’s serial number 16Y**** and later.

The default IP address (factory default value) of FX5U/FX5UC CPU modules is 192.168.3.250.

Up to 4 axes can be controlled. Please use a transistor output type CPU module.

(1) Create a Unicode text file in which the configurations of the database and its tables have been defined.
(2) Write the created Unicode text file into an SD memory card.
(3) Specify the Unicode text file and execute the “DBIMPORT(P)” instruction.
A database folder is created in the folder where the Unicode text file has been stored and the database is constructed.


(1) Execute the DBOPEN(P) instruction to connect to the database that you want to work on.
(2) Operate the database (addition/update/search/deletion of data).
(3) Execute the DBCLOSE(P) instruction to disconnect the connection to the database.

In the communication of the CC-Link IE Field Network synchronous communication function, you can synchronize the timing to send/receive data with the inter-module synchronization cycle of the inter-module synchronization function. With this synchronization, the inter-module synchronization timing of the master station’s system is sent to local stations via
the network, and local station send the inter-module synchronization cycle timing to each module in its own system.

You can synchronize the fixed scan communication cycle of the multiple CPU system function with the inter-module synchronization cycle of the inter-module synchronization function.

Mounting positions of the modules and the maximum number of mountable modules do not change regardless of whether

Since RnENCPU occupies two slots, one or more slots are occupied, so the maximum number of installable modules decreases.

The functions serve to protect the user property stored in a personal computer and the user property inside modules
in the MELSEC iQ-R series system against threats such as theft, tampering, faulty operation, and unauthorized
execution due to unauthorized access by an outsider.
Each security function has a different advantage. Use a security function appropriate to your purpose.

(1) Block password function
Prevents unauthorized access with a password set to POU.

(2) Security key authentication function
Prevents unauthorized execution, reading, and writing of programs with registration of a security key to a CPU module
and a personal computer.

(3) File password function
Prevents unauthorized reading and writing of data from/to a file in a CPU module with a password.

(4) IP filter function
Identifies the IP addresses of external devices by Ethernet and blocks access from unauthorized IP addresses.

(5) Remote password function
Limits access from external devices to the CPU module via communication routes other than the specified one with
a password for the communication by Ethernet.

The inter-module synchronization function synchronizes the timing to control signals of multiple modules.
This function synchronizes the input or output timing of target modules in a fixed scan interval.
With this function, you can control systems or devices with high accuracy.
This function can be synchronized with the fixed communication cycle of the multiple CPU system function or the CC-Link IE Field Network or SSCNETIII/H synchronous communication function.

You can set IP addresses accessible to the CPU module and prevent unauthorized access to the CPU module.

In the GOT2000 series, a commercially available wireless LAN access point compatible with IEEE802.11b/g/n standards can be used for the wireless LAN connection by using the wireless LAN communication unit (GT25-WLAN).
However, there are the following restrictions.

1. Supported security authentication methods are as follows.
64 bit/128 bit WEP, WPA-PSK (TKIP, AES), WPA2-PSK (TKIP, AES)
2. IEEE802.11n only supports the 2.4 GHz band.
In addition, use WPA-PSK (AES) or WPA2-PSK (AES) for the security authentication method when communicating by IEEE802.11n.
When WEP or TKIP is selected, the wireless LAN communication unit cannot communicate by IEEE802.11n.

The wireless LAN communication unit (GT25-WLAN) can be used as an access point.

* Up to five stations are connectable.

You can connect a GOT2000 series model with a barcode reader or 2D code reader by USB.
RFID does not support USB connection.

Note that a barcode reader or 2D code reader to be connected to a GOT2000 series model is required to satisfy the following conditions.
・ A USB keyboard interface is provided.
・ A Japanese 106 keyboard or the English 101 keyboard is settable as the USB keyboard type.
・ “Enter” is settable as the terminator.

Also, GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1.175H or later is required.
Version 1.170C and earlier do not support USB connection with a barcode reader, 2D code reader, or RFID.

You cannot replace the backlight (LED backlight) of the GOT2000 series.
You cannot specify the display in screen saver mode. Nothing is displayed in screen saver mode.

You can transfer the resource data of the GOT2000 series to a personal computer without using the screen design software in any of the following methods.

1. Use Data Transfer Tool (*1) to transfer the files.
2. Use the file transfer function (FTP transfer) to transfer the files.
(Available only for models with an Ethernet interface)
3. Use the file transfer function (GOT internal transfer) to transfer the files to an SD memory card or USB memory, and read the files from the personal computer.
4. Use the utility function to transfer the files to an SD memory card or USB memory, and read the files from the personal computer.

1. When connecting to the MELSEC iQ-R series, motion controller CPU (MELSEC iQ-R series), C Controller module (MELSEC iQ-R series), MELSEC-Q, QS, QnA, L, A, or motion controller CPU (Q series)
For an Ethernet module, up to 128 (16 or less are recommended) GOTs are connectable.
However, there are the following restrictions.
・ For an RJ71EN71, the maximum number of connectable GOTs per network is 119.
・ For models other than the RJ71EN71, the maximum number of connectable GOTs per network is 63.

2. When connecting to the MELSEC-FX
When an FX3U-ENET-L is used, up to two GOTs are connectable.
When an FX3U-ENET-ADP is used, up to four GOTs are connectable.

Differences between the white model and standard model of GT27 and GT25 are as follows.

The surface treatment of the front face of the rugged model is the AG (antiglare) treatment for both the environmental protection sheet and optional UV protective sheet.
The environmental protection sheet and optional UV protective sheet are made from UV cutoff materials. (95% UV cutoff with a sheet of 370nm)

The UV protective sheet for the rugged model is used to protect the GOT from UV or damage.
Since the UV protective sheet is replaceable, replacing the UV protective sheet can protect the GOT from degradation due to UV or damage.

When connecting a personal computer (GX Works2) and the built-in Ethernet interface of Q03UDECPU via the USB interface of the GOT2000 series, set the connection destination in GX Works2 as follows.

Automation hardware intercommunicates via the process of data exchange via a communication medium. The communication medium consists out of different OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model layers. For the purpose of this answer, the communication layer, related to the communication protocol is applicable. There are various industrial communication protocols, being split into Ethernet and Serial communication standard categories. However, only 1 channel can be set as the master.
The MODBUS serial communication settings can be set from GX Works3 parameters.

As the parameter settings of the FX3 intelligent function modules are not supported by GX Works3,
they cannot be selected from the element selection window.
Please use the configure using the program.

FX5

The settings can be done using the parameter settings of GX Works3 or by settings the special relay/special registers.

6 FX5U CPU MODULE BUILT-IN ANALOG
6.7 Parameter Setting

The wiring of an FX5 PLC includes the Digital Discrete Inputs\outputs and the Analog Continuous Inputs\Outputs.
In addition, this includes the wiring of the RS-485 serial communication port on the PLC.

The MELSEC iQ-F FX5U User’s Manual (Hardware) describes these wiring requirements. This manual can be found here.

The high-speed counter supports 1-phase 1-input, 1-phase 2-input, 2-phase 2-input.
The built-in counter in the CPU module can input up to 8ch.
However, in the case of 32 point type CPU module, the maximum response frequency differs depending on the channel.
– FX5U/FX5UC CPU module (32 points):
200kHz 6ch,10kHz 2ch Total 8ch
– FX5U CPU module (64/80 points)、FX5UC CPU module(64/96 points):
200kHz 8ch

The battery is not included with the CPU module during factory shipment.
The battery can be used to increase the capacity of the latch device/label, as well as to maintain the clock data during power interruption.

32 stations can be connected when RS-485 port is used and only 1 station can be connected when RS-232 port is used.

MR Configurator2

Using MR Configurator2, you can check “servo amplifier software number” in [System Configuration] on [Diagnosis] menu.
The last characters mean the servo amplifier software version.

(Example) For “BCD-B35W200 C7”, the software version is C7.

Some parameters are write-protected. (MR-J4/MR-J3: PA19)
The parameter to be displayed is determined by the setting value of this parameter.
Do as follows for MR Configurator2.
Method 1:
Set PA19 to “000E” in the list display and perform the parameter reading after writing PA19 to the servo amplifier (servo amplifier power supply OFF/ON).

Method 2:
Set PA19 to “000E” in the parameter block and click “initial setting” button.
The parameters other than PA19 are initialized.

The setting value “000E” differs depending on the parameter reference/writing range.

The one-touch tuning does not require the response level setting also.
Outlines of one-touch tuning and auto-tuning are as follows:

One-touch tuning:
You can adjust gains just by clicking a button on MR Configurator2 during the servo motor operation. You can do the one-touch tuning also during the servo motor operation in the test operation mode (JOG operation, positioning operation, and program operation) of MR Configurator2. The response level setting is not required also.
Load to motor inertia ratio, each gain (model loop gain, position loop gain, and speed loop gain, etc.), machine resonance suppression filter, advanced vibration suppression control II and robust filter, etc. are automatically adjusted.
A shorter settling time can be achieved than that of auto-tuning.

Auto-tuning:
When the load to motor inertia ratio is just estimated in real-time and the response level is set, the load to motor inertia ratio and each gain (model loop gain, position loop gain, and speed loop gain, etc.) are automatically adjusted.
Machine resonance suppression filter, advanced vibration suppression control II and robust filter are not automatically adjusted.

The “current command” is the command value for the current control (torque control) and the “torque” is the feedback value controlled by the current control (torque control).
The servo motor generates the torque according to the current flowing from the servo amplifier, and “current command” and “torque” will be in a relationship of command and feedback.

The module power consumption displays the power consumption of the servo motor.

A positive value indicates power running and a negative value indicates regeneration.

The power running is the status that the servo amplifier is supplying the power to the servo motor when the servo motor drives the load. (Example) When the speed and torque are the same sign during the acceleration of the servo motor, etc., and the servo motor speed and the torque are the positive values, they are in the power running status.

The regeneration is the status that the rotation energy of the servo motor and load flow to the servo amplifier. (Example) When the speed and torque are the reverse sign during the deceleration of the load speed, etc. such as the deceleration of the servo motor and the servo motor is driven by the load, etc., and the servo motor speed is the positive value and torque is a negative value, they are in the regeneration status.

 

From Start menu of Windows >, click [All Programs] > – [MELSOFT Application] > – [MR Configurator2] > and you can find “MR-J4(W)-B mode selection” under MR Configurator2.
When you use MR-J4(W)-B servo amplifier operated in MR-J3-B compatibility mode with SSCNETIII/H compatible controller, you have to change it to J4 mode using MR-J4(W)-B mode selection application.
