MR-J4-A Servo interfacing with Melsec iQ-F FX5U

Introduction

A short description of some useful information in the MR-J4-A Servo interfacing process with Melsec iQ-F FX5U.

You can use DABS command for absolute positioning in MR-J4-A.

For this Utilization a – battery is needed to be applied.

The FX5U CPU by itself is sufficient, however if the IO it being reserved for other functions and operations, then spare IO is to be considered. If you have enough inputs/outputs in FX5U you do not need extra module, you can use FX5U’s inputs/outputs only.

Herewith, some Servo amplifier side adjustments:

As mentioned, a battery will be required, and thus, some battery information which you need to use:

The inter-connection between the FX5U CPU and MR-J4-A Servo amplifier can be connected within the lines of the following example;

Some additional Information:

More information found HERE.

This would be the method for direct interconnection (if the IO on the FX5U is sufficient);

Connecting the MR-J4-A straight to the FX5U
