FX5U PLC – Built-in Analog Output interfacing
A control valve positioning can be control via the FX5U PLC – via its built-in Analog Output option. The control signal will be in the range of 0-10Vdc, which would normally represent the valve position from 0 -100%. (Note that this control system is not necessarily linear – as this would depend on the valve type.
The PLC will wire directly into the Positioner circuit.
Note: It is highly recommended that a 40mA fuse is to be installed in conjunction the the Analog output to protect the PLC in case of a short circuit.
FX3U-4DA Intelligent Module – Analog Output interfacing
If the control system requires a mA type control signal – then an FX3U-4DA intelligent module can be used on conjunction with the FX5u PLC.
Note: It is highly recommended that a 40mA fuse is to be installed in conjunction the the Analog output to protect the PLC in case of a short circuit.
