Introduction

The analog output of an inverter (VSD) is sometimes used as an input to third party devices to give an indication of inverter running speed, for example. To give an accurate indication of speed it is sometimes necessary to calibrate the analog signal as detailed below.

Design Consideration

To calibrate a third party analog input it is necessary to temporarily force the inverter analog output to 100%, i.e., 10VDC or 20mA. To do this, simply set the following parameters to a value of “21”.

Remember to note the setting values prior to changing them so that they can be returned to these values after completing the calibration.
