VSD Hardware and Connections
When a VSD is to be configured and test – only from a communication aspect – it is required that the control board (CPU board) is to be powered up.
It is not required that the entire VSD is to be powered for comms testing. To avoid the power board from being powered up – remove the Bridge pieces linking the control board and power board, and only power the control board. (NOTE: ensure that the VSD is not powered during the bridge piece removal. Also ensure that the onboard capacitors on the power board has been discharged.)
