Introduction

It is clear and definite that all of the Mitsubishi F940GOT-SWD GOT HMI Models are obsolete and to be replaced. They are not manufactured anymore. The same goes for most of the GOT1000 GOT HMI models.

The current generation of GOT HMI’s being supplied is the GOT2000 and GOT Simple Series. 

This article focuses specifically on the transition hardware from F940GOT-SWD. 

F940GOT-SWD Migration – the hardware

The following is a breakdown of the System applicable;

The F940GOT-SWD was replaced by GT1055-QSBD, which is also discontinued. The GOT1000 is replaced by GT2105-QTBDS

 

F940GOT-SWD Cabing – the hardware

This GOT uses the following cables:

  • FX-232CAB-1 – used for programming (Connection to PC)
  • F2-232CAB-1 – used for connection to the printer
  • FX-40DU-CAB – connection to Melsec-A motion controller, Melsec-FX and Melsec-FX2C (RS-422)
  • FX50DU-CAB0 – connection to Melsec-FX0, Melsec-FX0S, Melsec-FX0N, Melsec-FX2N, and Melsec-FX2NC (RS-422)

 

F940GOT-SWD Migration – the hardware

The GT2105 uses the following cables:

For programming

      • use a mini-USB cable
      • use an Ethernet cable

For connection to PLCs:

Recommended:

        • Ethernet communication cable (Note – USB cannot be used for interconnection between PLC and HMI)

RS-232 Serial

        • FX\iQ-F – GT01-C30R2-9S
        • Q series – GT09-C30R2-9P   

RS-422 Serial

        • FX\iQ-F – GT01-C30R4-8P
        • Q series – GT09-C30R4-6C
