Overview
There are two ways to conclude the CC-Link IE Field Basic Communication setup between the FREQROL inverter and Melsec iQ-F using GX Works3.
CC-Link IE Field Basic is a free Ethernet-based communication protocol (field-bus type), which can be used for quick inter-device communication between automation devices.
The good thing about this communication protocol is that, since it is free, it is part of the built-in Ethernet port of the CPU. Therefore, no additional hardware is required. This is the case on the VSD side as well.
Herewith the traditional method (predating the E800 series).
