Introduction
It is often a requirement when displaying numerical data, that text is added to explain what engineering units of measurement are for this object. Traditionally this has been achieved by adding a static text object however this is not needed if the feature outlined below is used.
Design Considerations
When either a Numerical Display or Numerical Input object is placed on screen it only displays the numeric data by default, however there is a feature called “Format String” that can be used to define how the data is displayed.
The following shows how the Format String settings can be used.
