Introduction
A common question asked when a product is superseded by a newer product is “what is the equivalent?” This document aims to help explain the upgrade path from the old F900 series GOT HMIs to the new GT1000 series GOT HMIs.
Design Considerations
In most cases there are direct replacements for the old F900 GOT HMIs but there are some points to note with certain GOTs as indicated in the notes at the bottom of the table below. In most cases you will see that the F900 GOT replacement is from the GT10XX range with the exception of the last 3 items that can be replaced by either a GT 1155 or GT1555.
You will notice that the last 3 F900 GOT replacements can oly be mounted into the old panel cut-out with an adapter and this reduces the IP rating.
You will note too that the first 9 F900 GOT replacements that were used with a keypad have no compatible panel cut-out.
