Introduction

There is another method for connecting a Melsec iQ-F PLC to the Adroit SCADA UI. The new method involves the utilization of the Modbus Device allocation Parameters table in GX Works3.

This method is ideal if the user requires to scan Modbus device registers from the FED (PLC), instead of the IEC address register format.

This method can also be referred to as using the Direct scanning conversion table

The Method

First – per the document of the driver – the required Modbus address type to be scanned is the identified\\confirmed:

Then from there the device type vs the modbus device address number is to be identified in GX Works3:

Per the calculation above – the address to be scanned can be identified:

Conversion Table Utilization
